The Big C Word

Here's what I'm doing, I was diagnosed with Adeno Carcinoma in my lung in December 2008, and have been getting chemotherapy treatment for 4 years every 21 days, with a 6 month break in there somewhere.

First I was getting treatment out in Ohio, where I live.

Things weren't working out for me so during a 6 month break I called Cancer Treatment Center of America at (847) 872-4561 and asked them if I could get a second opinion.
I did, and I am still with them.
If you want to know about their treatment and their hospital, send me an email and I will tell you how privileged I am to be a patient of theirs and on a 'real' scale not just a commercial.
Ive been flying out to the Zion location every 21 days and getting chemo, then flying home.
My friends and family and  several churches have been praying for a miraculous breakthrough and a supernatural turnaround.
God answers prayers.
Slowly and with endurance me and my husband have come to the place where the next and (dare I say) last treatment is 30 days of radiation.
So on February 20th I will go back to Zion, Illinois and begin the regimen.
One treatment every day for 5 weeks, in between that two Hypothermia treatments.

So there it is my cancer agenda unveiled.

So now that you know and the cats outta the bag, do you think you can help us?
Here's how?
Praying.
Buying art. I have set up three web sites that you can purchase my artwork.
The royalties will come to me and help me to pay for gas, food and lodging while I get radiation treatment.
The websites are listed below or at the drop down menu on this blog and your generosity is greatly appreciated.

August

The video is a practice video I made with Final Cut Pro, it depicts my paintings and my husbands song 'Kimberlee' which he gave me for Christmas a few years ago.

August already, I just found a painting muse and it will probably take me five more days to begin. Well, my new muse will be my first canvas painting since I've been taking chemotherapy. My Doctor said to keep painting. I can't think of anything I'd rather do.
Crafting and jewelry has slowed down for a slight pause while I oversee a new canning business.
It's sad to realize there are only 20-25 days left of swimming.
Summer is going away for a while and when I'm missing the days of swimming I will fall in love with color, that will tide me over to the next time I can dip my feet into the light blue water of the pool!!

LA Vintage Findings

Are you creative? Do you like to make your own jewelry and crafts? Have I got a treat for you! I went out to visit my brother in LA and he gave me these findings! I believe I have 25 pounds of these types of findings, which can be used for twenty five thousand craft projects types too.I've offered just a few on etsy to start sharing and will add more as I can.

They can be used to embellish a frame, an ornament, make a belt buckle,  make earrings or design a pendant!
Pick them up at my etsy for a small price and have a homemade Christmas in the bag! Send me an email and I'll send you some directions for craft ideas too. Use your new vintage findings on a whole plethora of crafts .

Hot fun in the summer time!
